Volunteers serve as a telephone friend to someone who could use companionship and emotional support – often providing interim support to clients awaiting a one-to-one match. Compeer volunteers also can provide support to people through e-mail. Whether by phone or by computer, they are great ways to connect with someone in need of friendship.
